It's the proof of accommodation requested in your long-stay student visa file. It documents your housing arrangements for your studies in France.
The document is issued and signed by NocNoc, which operates student housing in nine French cities: Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Lille, Montpellier, Nantes and Grenoble. You choose your city when you order. If a city doesn't appear, it means no housing is available there at that moment.
The address and rent shown on the certificate are not made up for your file: they match a housing unit that really exists in the NocNoc portfolio on the day of issue.
No, and it's important to know this before you order.
The certificate is not a lease, a reservation, a promise to rent or an option — neither on the housing unit whose address it mentions, nor on any other unit in the NocNoc portfolio. That unit does exist, but it is not held for you: its address appears for documentation purposes, and it remains available for rent.
In practice, you sign nothing remotely, you pay no deposit and no rent in advance. You pay 149,90 €, once, and you owe nothing more.
No. Nobody can guarantee you a visa, and you should be wary of anyone who promises one. The decision belongs to the consulate, which reviews your entire file: financial resources, study plans, motivation.
What we provide is a clear, verifiable proof of accommodation, designed to meet consulates' expectations.
The certificate fits on one page, in French. It shows your first and last name, your accommodation dates, the full address of the housing unit, the type of housing and the monthly rent.
It also carries NocNoc's legal identification, the signature of its representative and a unique QR code. By scanning it, the consular officer lands on a verification page hosted by StudentMoov, which confirms the document is authentic.
Rents come from NocNoc's real portfolio and are set by the operator. Neither you nor we can change them. Make sure your proof of financial resources stays consistent with the rent shown — consular officers check this point.

This price pays for issuing the certificate, not for booking a housing unit. Paying it gives you no automatic right to housing.
However, this amount is fully deducted from your booking fees if you then sign a rental with NocNoc. In that case, the certificate will have cost you nothing.
And if your visa is refused on ground 5 only (accommodation conditions deemed insufficiently justified), we refund 100% of the amount, upon presentation of the official refusal notice.

It's up to you to contact NocNoc to arrange housing. Without this step, no housing unit is reserved for you.
You can ask for the one shown on your certificate if it's still available, or another unit from the portfolio. Allocation then depends on availability at that time and on NocNoc's eligibility criteria, in particular the completeness of your file, your guarantees and your solvency. NocNoc may refuse a file on these grounds.
If a rental goes ahead, it is covered by a separate lease, signed directly with NocNoc, under the conditions applicable on the day of booking.
A correction costs €30. We issue a new certificate with a new QR code, and the previous one becomes invalid.
Proofread before you pay. Your first and last name must be written exactly as on your passport, in the same order, with the same spelling. A mismatch can weaken your file.
